Most of you know that I am a vocal performance major at the University of Utah. I was trying to think of things to post and I thought it would be neat if I posted some of the music I have learned over the past two years at school. I am very surprised that imeem didn't have more of what I've been learning. It had some of the most recent, "Ah! Je Veux Vivre!" and "Oh Mio Babbino Caro". "Sonntag" was also this last semester. "Rejoice Greaty, O Daughter of Zion" was my first semester and "Du bist die Ruh" was either second or third.. I can't remember exactly. Im sad that I couldn't find some of the other songs, some of them were quite fun.
Im sorry for those of you who don't like Opera, I didn't really like it until I started singing it. I really like it now, it has such passion and feeling. And believe it or not, it is super fun to sing!! You get a work out on a lot of the songs.. especially "Ah! Je Veux Vivre!" I love singing it but at the end I am exhausted! What a fun thing to study!
By the way... the music is to the right.. I hope it starts for you! Oh.. and I know one is sung by a man, I couldn't find a woman singing it but decided to put it on anyways.

I love to watch and hear you sing. You make music come alive and I love it. Keep up the good work.
Pretty cool Halley!! Hey, when you get home, I subscribe to a music internet site that would probably have more of the music that you have done. Bring a list and we'll set up a play list for you and link it to your site. It doesn't play automatically like imeem, but you can link it so you can go and listen to the songs at the linc.
Hey, if you want a header picture . . . . go and put it where you have the "King Family" posted. You can keep the words and put your picture there . . . . IF YOU WANT TO that is. That is how mine is set up.
Oh, also . . . . I have the musical number in church on the 29th of June. If you have anything you would want to do that is appropriate for church, bring it along too . . . . .
Sounds kewel! I think if you get exhausted i would probably fall over with exhaustion!!=)

Very cool Halley! I like to sing, but mostly in my car! I love Opera music as well! One of my favorite songs (song by a man though) is from the Opera Turandot. It is Nessun Dorma. I have it on my blog-site. Oh, it gives me chills everytime I listen to it. I have Pavarotti singing it on my MP3 player and I love to listen to it before I go to bed. It is sooo relaxing! I smile just thinking about it! If you ever have a performance let me know and I will try to come!
