I decided to do something easy for my first time sewing all by myself.
So I choose to do a skirt.
The skirt I did was view B on the pattern.
Here are all the pieces cut out and the facing put on.
Here's a view of my craft room. Newly cleaned and put together.
Here are some of the pieces put together.
And the zipper.
Here are the front and the back separately.
Here was my first attempt at putting two of the pieces together.
Obviously I had to unpick it.
And sew it again.
All better.
Almost finished! Now it just needs to be hemmed.
TA DA!!
Can you tell from the hem that I have a big butt!?
And here it is on!
The hem is straighter than it looks here.
I bent one knee in this picture and it made it look lopsided.
Oh well!

I love the skirt!! I hadn't seen it on you only on a hanger and it looks great! Good job!!!
I love the skirt also. I used to sew a lot when Grandpa and I first got married. I started sewing when I was 12 and took classes in downtown Salt Lake. Well I sewed a lot while our kids were growing up.
Wow, it is fun to see "Halley the Homemaker"!!!! You fought it so hard as a teenager to learn these skills . . . so you didn't!!!
Glad to see you at it! The skirt turned out great . . .
I laughed at your sewing mistake . . . I've done that before, I bet you groaned a big groan when you realized what you'd done . . . . wish I was there to help pick it out for you. My mom used to help me unpick my mistakes for me!
