The Kindness of a Stranger

Something really neat happened to me today. When I left for the morning it was kind of wet outside, it had just stopped raining. During the day it was really nice and warm. I had to stay at school a bit later than usual and during that time it started pouring outside. I didn't dress for heavy rain, I didn't have a hat, my shoes were not very good and I don't even own an umbrella.

Well, the sun was going down and it was getting colder and pouring rain, and since I had to stay later I had to wait longer for the bus because it is less frequent after a certain time. By the time I got down to the bus stop by toes were wet and my hair was dripping. I still had about 20 minutes to wait for the bus when a really nice car made a U-Turn and started pulling over by me. I started to get nervous about who this person might be because I didn't recognize him. Then he rolled down the window and handed me his umbrella. How neat. He saved me from getting completely soaked and kept the wind off of me as well. He even saved my books and papers in my backpack that was getting soaked. It kind of reminded me of that TV commercial where people do good things for each other and pass it along. Very neat.

Your mom said that if you had gotten into that car she would have strangled you!!! That was very nice of him. Kudos

Very cool! It's always nice when people help each other even when you don't know each other.=)

Wow...what a nice stranger!! I would have been so nervous with a car like that that I probably would have started running...but my imagination is horrible {or would that be a really good imagination} either way...I would be freaked out of my mind! Glad he was so nice! What a fun story to have to tell!

A nice and very wise stranger! Knowing that getting into the car would not be a good thing to ask you he did the next best thing!

That's very cool. It's nice to know that we're all really still on the same side. :)
