Okay, Here we go.... PICTURES!!!
We got on our plane to Prague and there were pillows, blankets, head phones, earplugs, and these lovely sleeping masks on every seat. Even though flying across the ocean isn't much fun, they sure do try to make you comfortable.

This is the Moldau River, The composer Smetana wrote a beautiful piece about it that I learned about in Music History class just this last semester, so it was really neat seeing the actual thing. It was beautiful.

This is a cathedral that you can see from the main square in Prague.

This is an astronomical clock that was in the main square also. Every hour it had a little show and I tried to see it 3 times but was always about 5 seconds late. There was just too much to see to stick around for an our to watch a 10 second long show.

This is a little river that broke off of the Moldau.

This is the inside of the cathedral that is located in the courtyard of the palace in Prague where their current president lives. The cathedrals in Europe were very beautiful and the architecture was amazing, but I must say that the National Cathedral in Washington, DC is the biggest and neatest one I have seen in my life. Biggest by FAR.

This is a self portrait of the outside of the cathedral.

This is my secret garden picture. There were vines over everything in Prague. I loved it!

Well, that wraps up my first day in Europe. I didn't have jet lag because I slept really well on the plane, so I was lucky. Most people were dead on their feet through this tour of Prague. I really enjoyed it.

I hope to be able to visit Prague some day. It looks like you guys had a good time. It is one of the big cities in Europe that is known for it's music especially. It's said that the people in Prauge loved Mozart more than any other (and Mozart loved them too). In fact, I'm sure you've heard this before at least on your trip, but Don Giovanni was first performed in a theater in Prague and they still do multiple renditions (even with marionettes)!
I love the picture of the Cathedral! Prague was the only big city in Europe that was not damaged by WWII as Hitler thought it was a beatiful place and left it alone. Because of that you can see well preserved architecture from across the eras.
Very cool! Keep the pictures and stories coming!
Ditto, keep the pictures and stories coming. I can live it through your eyes. What a great experience!!!!!
Baxter and I enjoyed your day!!!
Nice pictures Halley. I think that it is interesting that the Washington Cathedral holds it own against ones that you saw. Your dad said the same thing about it, and he has seen a few.
What an awesome opportunity!
Halley, I totally got your message on my blog. I would love to get you to teach me piano. I am going to Sweden for 2 weeks and leaving next Tuesday so I will give you a call after the 4th of July and we can arrange something! I'm excited!
